The following people have assisted in the creation of this site by providing GPS coordinates:
Many thanks to them for providing the data and giving permission to use it.
The remaining data is derived from the published map references in the local caving guidebooks:
Some of these essential guides are currently out of print. It is my hope that this site might help to sustain interest in Yorkshire's caves so that the guidebooks can be updated and republished.
Surveys
Craven Pothole Club have made their back catalogue of surveys available under a Creative Commons License. The Birks Fell Cave survey is now available on this site, geo-located on the Google Map.
The Ingleborough Survey
The compilation survey of the caves on Ingleborough is based on original surveys and earlier compilations by the following organisations: BCRA, BPC, BSA, CDG, CPC, ECC, HWCPC, KCC, LUCC, LUSS, NCC, NPC, NRCG, PCC, ULSA, WRPC, YRC
The level of detail has been deliberately kept low for copyright reasons. If permission can be obtained from the copyright owners then the original surveys will be included in full detail.
